Since its formation 11 years ago, augmented by its formal registration as an Association in 2018, the Microinsurance Technical Advisory Group (TAG) has gained ground in establishing the business case for microinsurance in Zambia. This year, we celebrate another milestone. We finally set up our new office in woodlands* Lusaka.

As an association, we are grateful for the support we have received from all stakeholders, key of which are the Financial Sector Deepening Zambia (FSDZ) and the Pensions and Insurance Authority (PIA).

A key priority for the creation of the TAG was to facilitate a platform for dialogue between different stakeholder groups and to overcome gaps in trust and competition vs. collaboration issues.

We are a not-for-profit entity that is a network of professionals and organizations that are committed to developing inclusive insurance solutions to the vast underserved or unserved market segments in Zambia. Additionally, we support knowledge sharing of emerging insights and models that increase private engagement in the design and delivery of appropriate microinsurance products in Zambia.
